Primary School Immersion Programme for 7-11 Year

Excursions

In the second week, students will have 4 full days to travel around England to a variety of destinations. Students are accompanied by our activity leader on all excursions, and can be given free-time if appropriate. Popular visits include:

London

Students will visit areas of London outside the centre, including world-famous locations such as Kensington, Westminster, the South Bank, Oxford Street, Royal Parks etc. With a deep step into this city, students will have chance to speak out what they have learned in the centre.

Oxford

Founded in the year 1542, Oxford’s historic rivalry with Cambridge dates back more than 800 years. On a tour of the city, students will see land-marks such as Carfax Tower, Bodleian Library, Christ Church Cathedral, and the ‘Bridge of Sighs’ and many Oxford University Colleges.

York

York is a walled city, situated at the confluence of the Rivers Ouse and Foss in North Yorkshire, England. The city has a rich heritage and has provided the backdrop to major political events throughout much of its two millennia of existence. The city offers a wealth of historic attractions, of which York Minster is the most prominent, and a variety of cultural and sporting activities.

Cambridge

Cambridge has been described as one of the most beautiful cities in Britain and whatever time of year you visit, it has plenty to offer. In summer, take a punt along the river and enjoy the architectural glories of the riverside colleges. At King's College Chapel, of which the best known of all Cambridge buildings, you may be lucky enough to hear the world-famous choir.
